Good Evening! My name is Bryan Irvine and I am the Director of the Izumi Project. About two years ago at General Assembly, you filled out a card stating that you would like some more information on this project. We have begun to build houses in third world countries and I would love for you to be a part of this exciting adventure. There are 16 Izumi Houses in several areas of the world. The plan is simple. Have your children, or teens or your entire church raise the money for the house. Then you would notify me and I would send a team to your church or school or job to teach the team going how to build these houses and to give you training about the culture. We would also send an experienced team member from or organization with your group. However, let us say that you do not want to build a house but you would love to raise money to provide a home for a needy family. We would send you photos of the team and the family that received you gift to them. We would also provide an address and names for that family. Our next project is in El Salvador and the dates for that trip are June 9-17. We are planning to build five houses in just a week. The cost of the houses, including doors and windows and a roof is approx. $11,000.00. That also includes shipping. If you know of a mission work that maybe in need of homes for the homeless, please let me know. In addition, I am in need of someone who has written grants in the past and who would be interested in helping us in this area.
